what is microfiber?
Microfiber is made of synthetic fibers ? Man made fibers.
The most common types of microfibers are made from a combination of polyester, poly-amide, and polypropylene. In order to be called "microfiber", the fiber must be less than a Denier. This is 1/100th the diameter of a human hair.
The fibers are split many times. Next, the fibers are then pressed together, not woven, giving you a cloth that is strong and durable. Because the fibers are so small they can be pressed together tightly creating millions of open cells, trapping dirt, dust and oils in the fibers, locking them in the cloth until it is released in the laundering process.
